Open dies can be used with a power hammer, treadle hammer or in some cases a hand hammer to forge specific images into ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Open dies are one sided, meaning they only produce the image on one side. Cut away excess flashing with a port-a-band saw. Use hand files to define the image.
